Why was the Pledge created?

We believe that putting service at the center of our lives is the key to happiness. Because our economy is largely rooted in a “me-first” mindset, we created the Give 100 Pledge to rally toward a different goal - one we feel is better for everyone.

What is the Pledge?

The Give 100 Pledge is set of values that shifts our intention to service. These vales are manifested in the symbolic (or legal) documents available to download for free here. We invite people to participate as much or little as they like and we do not police or monitor pledges in any way.

Why take the Pledge?

The Pledge signals this shared belief to others and brings accountability to yourself. The Pledge is one step along a path towards a life of service. It is also the only requirement to join our community.

What do I get when I join?

Nothing physical. Just an invitation to dig in, work with us, and see how a life of service can change you and the world around us. Our community is all volunteer and pursues this mission as far as their curiosity takes them.

How do you take the Pledge?

1) Download the documents that you like, or make new ones that work for you (and meet our standards).

2) Sign and return along with a photo of you and your signature.

3) You’ll get an invite to participate as much or little as you like.

How do you track commitment?

We don’t. This organization only clarifies a path and invites others to participate. Our community does not need policing. In the future, we hope to offer software tools that helps individuals see how their actions and intentions align.
